It seems pretentious defining the historic center of Terracina as one of the most wonderful historic centres in Italy, but for the one who live there since many years it’s not like that. It suffices to see the amaze upon the faces of who, for the first time, enter the magnificent Piazza Municipio (in ancient times seat of the imposing Foro Emiliano): a mix of wonder and disbelief can be read on their faces when they arrive, after the tiring ascent of the Salita dell’Annunziata (possibly on foot), or entering from the arch of Palazzo Venditti (the medieval Palazzo dell’Arengo,13th century), finding on the right side the monumental façade of the Cathedral (dedicated to the Saint Cesareo, 11th/13th century), as well the eighteenth-century Palazzo Vescovile and the medieval Torre dei Rosa (12th/13th century).We could also listen to the comments of the tourists who, not knowing the historic centre (in spite of many years of vacancies passed in Terracina) after the sweet discovery, appreciate the charm and the beauty. This website, with a promotional purpose, wants to be a little contribution to the knowledge of what we consider a cultural and artistic heritage to bring out. This site also wants to be an appreciation for all the one who decided to live and work in the historic centre of Terracina.
